Owner Richard “Hitch” McCulloch is a graduate of Colorado State University in Rangeland Ecosystem Science and has over 30 years of ecological service experience in the western U.S.

More About Hitch
Hitch earned his Bachelor of Science in Rangeland Ecosystem Science from Colorado State University in 1989. His career began with a decade of hands-on experience as a practicing arborist (1979–1989), followed by a tenure as the Lead Soil Scientist and Plant Biologist for METRIC Corp. in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
In 1992, he returned to Fort Collins to found Fort Collins Tree Care, later expanding his operations in 1994 by establishing Sustainable Vegetation Management as a specialized subsidiary. A highly credentialed professional, Hitch is an ISA Certified Arborist and holds a Commercial Applicator License (#333) with expertise in categories 103, 106, 107, 108, 109, 206, 207 and 302.
